Like a loaf of Warburton's, Tim was born and bred in Bolton, Lancashire. He spent his first few Thursday lunchtimes at big school listening to the wind band murder badly arranged versions of Beatles songs and the theme tune to 'Van Der Valk'. The drums caught his eye and through a "classical training" (violin lessons) it was easy for Tim to read the drum dots (there are fewer notes). He broke his first set of drumsticks the very next Thursday lunchtime.

Since then, Tim has been drummer/percussionist for various symphonic wind bands, orchestras, big bands, rawk bands, brass bands, occasional a pit kit for amateur musical theatre productions and an African drumming group.

Tim's most recent drumming engagements include York idiots the Tetra Hyper Cannibals and Edinburgh grunge monstrosity Milford Cubicle. He is delighted to finally be in a band which has a reasonably sensible name.

Tim is also a member of the award and competition winning Stannington Brass Band, with which he hopes one day to master playing the xylophone with more than one stick.
